The course illustrates the main biomonitoring techniques useful for assessing the quality of different ecosystems.

Biomonitoring of inland waters (rivers and lakes)
Main chemical-physical and biological characteristics of inland waters
Techniques for gathering organisms of different rings of trophic nets (plankton, benthos, fish fauna) and their identification. Biological quality indexes applied to river and lake environments.
