VISITING PROFESSOR 2 RE: INNOVATION MANAGEMENT: PROCESS AND PRACTICE
Course objectives involve students achieving some advanced learning outcomes, i.e.:
- A thorough knowledge of what innovation is and why it is critical to an organization’s success.
- An understanding of the components of creativity that include both new product creativity and marketing programs creativity.
- An understanding of how entrepreneurs in the creative global organizations inspire innovation and creativity. What can these examples of creative organizations teach us?
- Understanding the steps in new product development.
This course will provide background on innovation and creativity with special focus on practices necessary to stimulate and manage innovation in a business. Detailed program to be defined once visiting professors are appointed.
MODE OF DELIVERY
Lectures and case discussion.
The final assessment is based on the evaluation of the student’s participation in class discussions and assignments (both individual and group). Student’s evaluation will be based on the quality and quantity of class participation in business cases and article discussions as well as on a written assignment where he/she will be required to analyze (individually and/or as part of a group) an assigned business case.
Readings will be communicated in class.
