PROFESSIONAL ORAL HYGIENE TECHNIQUES
The student must be able to manage the periodontal problems and be effective in difficult situations. The student must be able, also , to know the different treatment for the patients whit systemic problems and reach and mantein oral health
MANAGEMENT IN ORAL HYGIENE
The main objective of teaching is to give Dental Hygienists knowledge of the dynamics of management of their professional life in a dental practice and to patients. The course sees two lines of development: the first at the Dental Hygiene as a self-manager, and the second concerns the management of patients.
At the end of the course the student is expected to have acquired the following skills:
• Awareness and definition of its role: identifying their technical and interpersonal skills in a team, how to prepare a job interview, personal branding and marketing of their business, concepts on profitability and management of its income statement, to build a business plan.
• Relate the patient's medical needs with the expectations of patient care: learn and develop patient classification criteria, apply the listening techniques and medicine centered on the patient, know the patient satisfaction evaluation criteria and the 'impact on your professional development
NEW TECHNOLOGIES FOR ORAL HYGIENE
The main objective of the course is to give dental hygiene students a detailed knowledge of the technologies present in the dental field, giving greater emphasis to the use and knowledge of the Laser instrument.
At the end of the course the student is expected to have acquired the following skills:
• Appropriate knowledge of all technologies useful for the dental hygienist profession. Students must be able to recognize the usefulness of the various tools and be able to apply them correctly to their work on patients.
• Knowledge of the practical protocols for the use of the laser to be implemented in the various professional oral hygiene therapies.
• Practical acquisition of the correct technique for using a diode laser.
COMMUNICATION IN ORAL HYGIENE
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
• Provide the Dental Hygienist with effective communication tools to be used in clinical practice
• Identify the dynamics of the operator-patient relationship
• Recognize and manage patient needs and expectations
• Communicate effectively with some particular categories of patients
• Acquire practical communication tools
• Reflect on your experience as a professional
AESTHETICS IN ORAL HYGIENE
Aesthetics is a concept that comes after health, the goal of this is to know all the techniques to do dental in office and home bleaching and apply in clinical practice.
it is divided into two parts: a theory and a practice
In its first part of the course, in deep analysis the concepts of facial and smile aesthetics, evaluating the atomic structure of hard and soft tissues in health and in inflammation conditions, also all the enamel alterations determined by intrinsic, extrinsic discolorations are analyzed , removable or not, caused by various factors or systemic pathologies, all this through the evaluation of different clinical cases.
We analyze most of the products on the market with different concentrations, analyzing the active ingredients and their physical and chemical characteristics
Finally, we explain the different whitening techniques available with their advantages and disadvantages
The theoretical part that concludes the course, describes all the skills of the dental hygienist with the regulations in force and the management of purchases

Principles of management: organization and business; planning, coordination and control; (1h)
The management styles, leadership, communication and decision-making processes; time management: urgency and importance; (2h) ; The business plan; (8h); Internal and external customers; (1h); the patient's behavior, the classification of patients / clients; (4h); Team working accountability and responsability (2h); Performance measurment (2h);
Developing and implementation work plan, analysis capabilities and self-assessment; development resources, growth criteria, positive environment development. (2h)

6 Perception, expectation, need, from the first impression to the analysis of the question
