Equations and inequalities. Quotients of polynomials. Trigonometry. Analytical geometry (straight lines and parabolas)

Final Examination:

The final exam consists of a written and an oral part. The written exam has 5 or 6 exercises on topics contained in the syllabus. Students will have about 2 and a half hours time and will be allowed to use the textbook. Exercise books, notes and calculators are forbidden. Students that achieve a grade greater or equal to 15/30 are admitted to the oral exam. The oral exam consists of three questions taken from a list that students may find on the e-learning. The exam is passed if the total grade is at least 18/30. Students who hand in the assigned homework may obtain up to 2 points bonus on the written exam in the June-July exam session.

Voto Finale

At the end of this course students should have achieved a rigorous scientific method and should be able to apply this method to every future field of study.
Furthermore, they should have acquired the basic knowledge of mathematical analysis on functions of one variable, numerical sequences and series and integration theory.

Numerical sequences and series, functions of one real variable, continuity, limits, differential calculus, Taylor polynomial, integration, complex numbers.
