Prof. Sala has coordinated
study groups on different topics. Among the most relevant: - stem cells implantation in induced myocardial infarction (animal models in rat); - ischaemia reperfusion injury model (animal model in isolated rat heart in Langendorff apparatus); - myocardial microdyalis; - mechanisms of atrial fibrillation after cardiac surgery (metabolic and genetic determinants); - leukocyte filters in extracorporeal circulation and inflammation mechanisms; - minimally invasive and beatine-heart cardiac surgery; - surgical treatment of failing heart; - aortic and mitral valve sparing techniques. |
