Biography |
Dr. Gianlorenzo Dionigi
was born in 1974 in Pavia, son of Renzo and Janet Hesselbrock. He
graduated in Medicine in 2000.
During his residency in General Surgery he visited the following Centers:

Research interests |
Dr. Gianlorenzo Dionigi
is involved in several clinical research studies on surgical techniques
for thyroid and upper gastrointestinal surgery. He has also performed
experimental research on kidney and pancreas transplantation. |

Dr. Gianlorenzo Dionigi
has been appointed as Assistant Professor in Surgery by the University
of Insubria in Varese, where he is currently giving lecturers to medical
students, nurses as well as physiotherapists. |

Clinical interests |
Dr. Gianlorenzo Dionigi
is an active member of the surgical staff of the Department of Surgical
Sciences at the University of Insubria (Head professor Renzo Dionigi).
He is mainly involved in minimally invasive procedures for thyroid
surgery as well as several elective and emergency procedures. To date,
he has performed more than 150 surgical procedures as first surgeon
(half on moderate/major minimally invasive surgery) and many more
as assistant.
