Biography

Born in Milan on April 20, 1953. Education:
Graduated in Medicine at the University of Milan in 1979. Residency in Otolaryngology and Audiology University of Pavia.
 

Qualifications and awards

Professor and Chair, Dept. of Otorhinolaryngology, University of Insubria, Varese. Member of several scientific societies: Italian Society of Otorhinolaringology, European Rhinologic Society, European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and American Rhinologic Society. He is currently Board Member of the Italian Society of Facial Plastic Surgery.
 

Research interests

His main interests are focussed on endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery.
 

Teaching experience and appointments

He has been invited as a guest operating surgeon in several national and International courses with live-TV surgery. He has also been invited as a guest speaker or Faculty Member in several meetings throughout the world, giving more than 200 official presentations.

Clinical interests

His main interests are focused on endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery since the late 1980’s. Besides inflammatory lesions of the paranasal sinuses, he had been gaining an extensive surgical experience in the endoscopic management of neoplasms of the sinonasal tract and skull base (CSF leaks, sellar and parasellar) lesions.
