Biography |
Born in Viareggio (Lucca)
in 1955, married, two sons .
Graduated from the Medical School of the University of Milan in 1980,
final evaluation of 110/110 cum Laudae.
Graduate degrees in Surgery (1985) and in Microsurgery (1988) at the
University of Milan.

Clinical interests |
Prof. Benevento is Head
of the Department of Surgical Sciences at the University of Insubria
at the Clinic of S.Maria di Castellanza- Varese. His clinical interests
focus mainly major oncologic surgical procedure on esophagus, liver,
pancreas and gut. He performed, to date, more than 2000 surgical procedure
with special interest on minimally invasive surgery both with laparoscopic
and thoracoscopic procedures.
