Sciences of Culture, Politics and Information

The Department of the Sciences of Culture, Politics and Information was created to promote and develop interdisciplinary collaboration between the Sciences and the Arts. Particular attention has been placed on the comparison between, and the complementarity of, diverse languages, both with respect to cognition and with respect to communication, in both synchronous and diachronic contexts.

The investigation of innovative aspects in this field is entrusted to specializations in the Section of Informatics, represented both in its theoretical and methodological aspects and its applications. The interests cultivated are also directed to themes and methodologies inherent in cultural manifestations, with major regard to phenomena expressive of their historical origin and of their doctrinal (and in a broad sense political) interrelations. In this framework special attention is given to intercultural dynamics and the plurality of language.
