Biography

Born in Pescara in 1966, she read Law at the University of Bologna, where she graduated in 1991. Since 1992 she has taken part in scientific activities held at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of Law, Milan University, in the School of Law and Society. In 1992 she attended a training course in International Law at the Istituto per gli Studi di Politica Internazionale (ISPI), Milan. From 1993 to 1994 she worked for the Banca Commerciale Italiana. In 1998 she took an LLD at the European University Institute of Florence. From August 1998 to July 2001, she worked for the Translation Directorate (Italian Division) at the European Court of Justice, Luxembourg.

European Union institutional and procedural law, with particular emphasis on ECJ and CFI; Sociology of Law, Theory and Methods; Disputing before International Courts; Contextual Analysis of Legal Documents; Law and the Media
 

Teaching experience and appointments

Researcher in Sociology of Law, University of Insubria, Como (2001-2005) and lecturer in Sociology of Law (2002-2005); Associate Professor of Sociology of Law, University of Insubria (since October 2005). Member of the I.S.A. Research Committee on Sociology of Law (RCSL), since 1995; Guest Lecture on “Rights of Workers within the European Union”, University of Milan, April 2002; Guest Lecture on “Contextual Analysis in Socio-Legal Investigations”, University of Milan, December 2004; Member of the Scientific Committee of Sociologia del diritto, since 2005.
