-1989-1993: Degree in physics, University of Pavia, Italy,T itle of the thesis: Microscopic quasi--deuteron model for one--nucleon photoemission

-1995-1998: Ph.D. in Physics, University of Milan Italy, Title of the thesis: Quantum localization in Rydberg atoms

-1998-2000: Post-doc at the CEA, Centre d'Etudes de Saclay, France, within the European Union TMR network Phase Coherent Dynamics of Hybrid Nanostructures

-2000-2002: Post-doc at the Istituto Nazionale per la Fisica della Materia, within the INFM Advanced Project: Quantum Transport and Classical Chaos.

-2002: Researcher at the Istituto Nazionale per la Fisica della Materia, within the INFM Advanced Project: Weak Chaos: Theory and Applications.

Research interests

My main research interests are in the fields of classical and
quantum chaos, transport properties in classical and quantum physics, open quantum systems and decoherence, mesoscopic physics, disordered systems, phase transitions, interplay between interactions and disorder in many-body quantum systems, directed transport in microscopic systems, quantum computation and information theory.
