Biography

Born in Pavia on October 15, 1969, Francesca Ferrari graduated in Law on March 1993 at Pavia University. Through an Erasmus scholarship, she spent a period of eight months attending the Center for Criminology and the Social and Philosophical Study of Law at the Edinburgh University. After this degree she was admitted to the Ph.D. program in January 1994 and spent a semester (in 1996) at Harvard University as a visiting researcher. In 1996 she was admitted to the Attorneys’ Bar and in 1997 she completed her Ph.D. During the years 1998-2000 received a postdoctoral fellowship. Then from 2001 to 2003 she continued to work as assistant both at the University of Milan with Prof. Cavallone and at the University of Insubria with Prof. Merlin and Prof. Ghirga. In 2003 she won the relevant competition and became a researcher of the Insubria University. She is part of the editorial staff of the Procedure Law Review.
 

Research interests

Her main interests are in evidence law, arbitration law as well as in the procedural rules and profiles of intellectual property.

 

Teaching experience and appointments

She held the seminars on Evidence Law at the University of Insubria in 2001, 2002 and 2003. In the academic year 2005-2006 she taught a module of Advanced Procedural law as well as Civil Enforcement Law.
