Degree in Economics at LUISS, Rome, Italy (1983, 110/110 cum laude). Master of Science in Economics, London School of Economics, University of London, UK (1985). Ph.D. in Economics, Birkbeck College, University of London, UK (1993).
Awards: One-year Scholarship for Studying Abroad, Ente per gli Studi Monetari, Finanziari e Creditizi "Luigi Einaudi", Bank of Italy (1984). Two-Year Scholarship "Giorgio Rota", Centre for Research “Luigi Einaudi", Turin, 1986. Italian National Science Foundation (CNR), financial aid to publish the monograph “Investment and Market Structure”, 1992.

Microeconomics, Industrial Organization, Applied Game Theory, Antitrust and Competition Policy.
Topics recently studied: Price Discrimination, Vertical Price Restrictions, Private Labeling, Vertical Integration, European Competition Policy.
