Biography

Fausto Sessa was born in Varese on March 25, 1953. He lives in Bodio Lomnago, Via Boffalora 8 and he is married with two sons. Degree in Medicine Cum Laude at the University of Pavia in July 1978, Residency Board in Pathology and Laboratory Medecine at the University of Parma in October 1981 .Residency Board in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at the University of Pavia in October 1988. October 1985-November 1985, stage in Hepatic Pathology at the Catholic Universty on Leuven (Belgium).

Assistant and then Consultant from December 1980 April 1993 at Pathology Department of S.Matteo Hospital in Pavia (I.R.C.C.S.) and from April 1993 to October 1998 at the Pathology Department of the "Circolo Hospital" of Varese. Associated Professor of Pathology at University of Insubria in Varese from November 1998 to the August 2002. Professor of Pathology at the University of Insubria in Varese from the September 2002.

Scientific activity: endocrine pathology of gastroenteropancreatic tract; exocrine pancreatic tumors; galbladder and ampullary of Vater carcinoma; breast and pulmunary neoplasms; hepatic viral and autoimmune diseases with special reference to pediatric age. Research Projects supported by the University Research Funds in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005
