Biography

 He was born in Potenza on September 5, 1960. He graduated from the School of Medicine at the University of Pavia (1985). He specialized in Radiology (Chief. Prof. L. Di Guglielmo) in 1989 and specialized in Orthopaedic and traumatology in 1994 at Pavia University. He has been an assistant in S.Matteo Hospital of Pavia from 1988 to 1994. He began his academic career as an assistant professor of Radiology in the Department of Radiology of the Medical School of Pavia in 1994, progressing to associate professor of Radiology in 2001 in the School of Medicine at the University of Insubria (Chief Prof. C. Fugazzola).
 

Qualifications and awards

 Member of the Italian Society of Medical Radiology (SIRM), of the European Skeletal Society of Radiology (ESSR), of the European Congress of Radiology (ECR). Member of the SIRM Section of the Sport Medicine (1997 – 2001).
 

Research interests

 Main research interests: Imaging in paediatric endocrinology, Sports medicine Radiology, Muscle-skeletal radiology, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac imaging.
 

Teaching experience and appointments

 Teacher of Diagnostic Imaging at many post-graduate schools; teacher of “Diagnostic Imaging 2nd “ at the School for Radiographrs, teacher and chairmen in many Italian and international congress and courses.
