Biography

-1 1986-1990: Masters in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology), University of Pavia. Masters dissertation on Bacterial Genetics

-2 1991-1992: Italian Association for Cancer Research (AIRC) fellowship on a project of murine monoclonal antibodies humanization by genetic engineering at Experimental Oncology Div. E of “ Istituto Nazionale per lo Studio e la Cura dei tumori” (Milano)

-3 1993-2000. Technician at Dept. of Clinical and Biological Sciences of the University of Pavia at Varese (since July 1998 University of Insubria) as responsible for the implementation of the Molecular Biology laboratory within the Anatomic Pathology laboratory.

-4 2001-present: Assistant Professor, Anatomic Pathology laboratory, Dept of Human Morphology of the University of Insubria. Research activity on Molecular Oncology projects

The main fields of interest and research are:

-1 Minimal deletion regions of chromosome 6 in benign and borderline tumors of ovary

-2 Pathogenetic mechanisms of solid tumors with microsatellite instability

-3 Monoclonal and policlonal origin of mixed and collision endocrine-exocrine tumors of the gut

-4 Molecular profile of well and poorly differentiated endocrine tumors of various sites
