Teaching experience and appointments

The teaching activity of Prof. C. Capella started in 1968 at the Medical School of the University of Pavia, when he became Assistant Professor of Anatomic Pathology, and continued when he became Associate Professor (in 1983) and Full Professor in Varese (in 1990). The scholarly contributions include: training of students and residents in autopsy pathology, cytopathology and general plus subspeciality pathology including gastrointestinal pathology, endocrine pathology, hematopathology and electron microscopy.

The main teaching task of Prof. Capella is now the coordination of the course of Systemic Pathology for MD students of the year 4 and year 5 and the direction of pathology residency program and of medical oncology residency program at the University of Insubria School of Medicine.

The training programs are designated to give students and residents expertise in pathology and in oncology. They also include knowledge and understanding the basic science behind the disease.
