Biography

Born in Milan, 7th July, Alba Francesca Fondrieschi received the diploma of "maturità classica" in 1988 and then attended the Faculty of Law in the University of Milan. She graduated in 1996 discussing a dissertation on the contracts imposed by the italian law ("Il contratto imposto").

In 1998 she begun a PHd course in Civil Law at the University of Turin (Italy), completed in 2001 with a dissertation concerning the partial perfomance ("adempimento parziale") in the contract law.

In September 2002 she became University Researcher, IUS/01 - Private Law, at the University of Brescia (Italy), Faculty of Economics and took up the position in November 2002.

In 2006, she was confirmed as assistant professor as of November 2005.

In March 2006 she became Associate Professor, IUS/01 - Private Law, at the University of Insubria in Varese (Italy), School of Economics and took up the position in November 2006.

1996: Law Degree, summa cum laude, University of Milan (Italy).
1998-2001: Phd in Civil Law, University of Turin (Italy).
2001: admitted to the Bar.
2002: Assistant Professor in Private Law, University of Brescia (Italy), Faculty of Economics.
2006: confirmed Assistant Professor, University of Brescia, as of November 2005.
2006: Associate Professor in Private Law, Insubria University; School of Economics.

 

Research interests

Main research interests deal with the contract law, and the perfomance of contract. In particular, the main studies concern the partial breach of the contract and its severability and divisibility.

Current research concerns the identification of private law provinsions applicable to the contracts entered into by private subjects and State agencies.

In the past, other studies concerned the Family Law, with reference to void marriages.
