Biography

Claudio Gentile received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Milan (Italy) in 1999. From 1999 to 2001 he has been a Research Assistant at the same university. Since 2001, he is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at University of Insubria, Varese (Italy).

Research interests

On-line (Sequential) Prediction Algorithms, Statistical learning Theory, Neural Networks, Support Vector Machines, Information Theory, Information Retrieval.
 

Teaching experience and appointments

His teaching experience ranges from courses in Machine Learning to Theoretical Computer Science to Data Structures and Algorithms to Probability and Statistics.
He is at present a member of the senate of University of Insubria.
