Walter Castelnovo is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Science at the University of Insubria, Italy.

He received a MS degree in Philosophy from the University of Milan in 1984, and a PhD. in Philosophy from the University of Milan, in 1991.

In 1995 he became Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Sciences of University of Milan, Department of Computer Science and in 1998 he moved to the University of Insubria.

Walter Castelnovo teaches Information Systems and Organization for students in Computer Science at the School of Sciences in Como of the University of Insubria.

Walter Castelnovo is the strategic consultant of ANCITEL Lombardia in the area of E-Government and he is a permanent invited member of the Department of Institutional Reforms, E-Government, Cooperation and Communitarian Policies of ANCI Lombardia (the Association of Municipalities of Lombardia, Italy).

Research interests focus on technological and organizational innovation for business oriented organizations and Government Organizations.

Software Engineering, Natural Language Processing, Information Systems, Organization.
He is member of the Board of Directors of University of Insubria and is the responsible for the European Computer Driving License project of the University.
