Biography

Massimo Sisti was born in Milan (Italy) in 1949. He received his Laurea degree in Chemistry in 1973 (University of Milano). During the period 1974-1983 he carried out his research in the group of Professor Jommi at the same University and supported Organic Chemistry classes as a tutor. In 1983 he got a permanent position as a Researcher in Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Sciences of University of Milan. He continued his research activity in collaboration with Professor Jommi. In 1998 he was appointed Associate Professor at the University of Insubria-Como, School of Sciences.

Research interests

Massimo Sisti’s research interests mainly deal with the following topics: a) structural, synthetic and spectroscopic investigations of natural organic compounds b) new synthetic methodologies in Organic Chemistry c) synthesis of new polidentate ligands and of the corresponding paramagnetic metal ion complexes as contrast agents in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. He is co-author of 81 papers on international journals, 4 patents and about 40 communications in National and International Meetings.
