Member of the Analytical Spectroscopy Group of the Italian Chemical Society.

Author or coauthor of 47 publications in the field of heterogeneous catalysis, material characterization and analytical chemistry.

Research interests

The research activity has been mainly focused to the development of advanced strategies for the production of nano-structured materials, with carefully designed properties, to be used in the field of heterogeneous catalysis.

Particular efforts have been recently devoted to the development of advanced instrumentations for the characterization of heterogeneous catalysts and for the utilization of perturbation methods in the study of the mechanism of action of catalysts in gas-phase reactions.

Teaching experience and appointments

1999-Present. Member of the Ph. D. Department of Chemical and Environmental Sciences at the University of Insubria in Como.

1998-Present. Permanent Lecturer of various courses in the field of Analytical Chemistry such as: Analytical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry (laboratory course), Instrumental Analytical Chemistry, Advanced Analytical Chemistry (laboratory course), Analytical chemistry of Pollutants.
