Research interests

Research activity is devoted to optimization of analytical methodologies for analysis of trace metals. Technological and constructive aspects of analytical instrumentation are also studied.

The use of chemometric methods plays an important role both in experimental design and optimization phases and in results interpretation. Knowledge and experience in multivariate calibration modelling gave the opportunity to conduct research work also in Environmental Sciences, Catalysis, Cultural Heritage and Archaeology.

An ongoing collaboration with CAMO Process AS for training in statistical analysis has been established.

Teaching experience and appointments

University of Insubria, School of Sciences in Como.

Lecturer in:

Analytical Chemistry Lab (Chemistry): 2005 - present

Chemometrics (Chemistry): 2005 – present
