Research Center for the Study and Application of New Technologies in Vascular Surgery

The activities of the Research Center encompasses clinical and laboratory-based research and are centered on the following principal areas:

• Biological markers for aortic aneurysm diagnosis
  
• Microdialysis for the study of peripheral metabolism during surgical or endovascular revascularization procedures
  
• Neo-angiogenesis in chronic ischemic limb
  
• H-NMR of the lipoproteins related to cardiovascular events
  
• Metabolism of the endothelial cells in atherosclerotic disease
