Interuniversity Center for Molecular Biology (CIBM)
The Interuniversity Center for Molecular Biology is a new institute located at Busto Arsizio and includes researchers from the University of Insubria, University of Milan and the CNR Laboratory of Molecular Genetics at Pavia.
These groups emphasize an interdisciplinary approach within the fields of genetics, molecular and cellular biology and pursue both basic and applied research as well as the development of innovative technologies.
The general objectives of the CIBM are:
To widen the synergy of the groups belonging to different research centers in Lombardia;
To facilitate the development of interactions with other scientific and industrial groups, both national as well as international;
To create a laboratory capable of hosting researchers with activities compatible with those of the CIBM;
To collect investments from public and private entities to develop the research activities of the CIBM;
To form a research center attractive both for young Italian researchers abroad as well as for foreign researchers.
