Service features

In the event of an accident, whether at work or while travelling, the person concerned must immediately go to the emergency room or, alternatively, to a doctor for treatment. As soon as possible, the injured person must send the following documents to the University:

  • the medical certificate issued by the emergency room or doctor (diagnosis and prognosis)
  • the identification details of the electronic certificate sent to INAIL by the doctor or healthcare facility
  • the Declaration of accident at work for INAIL purposes

The injured worker must contact the facility responsible for managing the accident, as indicated in the table correlating the type of injured worker with the competent facility. For each facility, the names, contact details and addresses of the authorised personnel responsible for managing the case are indicated.

The table Facilities-Study programmes indicates the facility responsible for managing accidents based on the degree programme attended.

For the purposes of managing the accident, the injured worker is required to forward to the University any documentation that INAIL sends directly to them.

If the injured worker decides not to seek medical treatment, they are still required to complete and submit the INAIL accident declaration form.

A more detailed description of the necessary procedures is available in the attachment (Explanatory manual of procedures).
