Contamination Lab

Give space to your entrepreneurial idea

The Contamination Lab (C.LAB) is the laboratory for career guidance and business creation, active since 2021 thanks to the collaboration between the University of Insubria and ComoNExT, a Digital Innovation Hub and a certified incubator recognised by the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.

It is aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as PhD candidates of the University, who are interested in putting forward their own project or entrepreneurial idea and in exploring the themes of business start-ups and innovation.

C.Lab is a space, both physical and virtual, where experienced tutors from ComoNExT and the University are available to provide guidance, methodologies and in-depth pathways on innovation trends, encouraging a hands-on and interdisciplinary approach.

By taking part in C.Lab, students will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop entrepreneurial and innovation skills
  • Receive support from expert tutors in the start-up field
  • Network with entrepreneurs, companies and innovative start-ups
  • Access resources and tools to turn ideas into concrete projects

Book a free meeting slot to present your idea or project: regardless of its stage of development, our tutors will provide useful advice on how to strengthen it and how to turn your project into reality, as well as help develop collaborations to implement the initiative.

Meetings can take place either in person (at the University, alternately at the two campuses) or online.

Co-tutorship

Among the ideas presented during the proposal sessions, a panel of experts may select up to three of the best ideas, which will have the opportunity to take part in the three-month co-tutorship programme.

The selected ideas will receive ongoing, tailored support to develop the entrepreneurial project to its full potential, from defining the Business Model Canvas to validating the business idea, from market analysis to structuring the business model.

Innovation Trekking 

The Innovation Trekking is a guided visit within the ComoNExT Innovation Hub, designed to foster awareness and deeper understanding of the main technological innovation trends, to listen to business case studies, and to learn from entrepreneurial experiences that can inspire one’s professional and personal growth.

During the visit, students can learn directly from those who have transformed their entrepreneurial ideas into successful businesses, exploring real company experiences and seeing first-hand the application of enabling technologies.
