The Communication Plan summarises the main communication strategies that the University, through its Communication, Guidance and Placement Service, plans to implement.
The portal only features news and events promoted by the University or involving it in some way (organisation, sponsorship) and which are also relevant to the University and of interest to the external public.
It is generally possible to report news or events of relevance to the University and of interest to the external public by contacting the communications officer.
Created by Paul Scharff, assisted by local scholars and experts (in particular, Daria Banchieri and Gaspare Morgione), the University's seal, in green on a white background to recall the rich vegetation of the Insubrian territory, is a stylisation of two converging waterways, from which the central river takes its life, cutting through and uniting the two lake areas and fertilising the surrounding land.
The idea behind the seal derives from two archaeological finds with a meander-spiral motif: a pintadera, a sort of stamp used for ritual purposes, from Isolino Virginia, on Lake Varese, and a socket with a human face, found in Montano Lucino, in the province of Como.
The spiral, a symbol of flames and fire according to the Celts, but also of the movement of water, represents the dynamism of a young and modern university.
