Study abroad - Application

All PhD students planning to undertake a period of stay abroad, in order to request an increase in their doctoral fellowship, are required to send the following "Study abroad attendance" form to scuola.dottorato@uninsubria.it, signed by the course coordinator. Upon return from the abroad period, an appropriate certificate of completed stay abroad must be sent to scuola.dottorato@uninsubria.it

Scholarship increase for study abroad periods

The amount of the scholarship is increased by no more than 50% for a total period no longer than 18 months, if the PhD student is authorized by the Doctoral Program Committee to carry out research activities abroad, for a period of no less than thirty days, as provided for by article no. 6 of the Regulations for Doctoral Programs.

To request the scholarship increase, applicants must send the “study abroad application” and the “study abroad expenses self-certification” forms with a detailed account of expected expenses to the Doctoral Program Coordinator, who, on the basis of the self-certification, will authorize the request, indicating the percentage of scholarship increase which was granted.
