Objectives
The service is requested by students and graduates who need support in identifying a professional career path of interest or who require assistance during the active job search phase. The service provides support in:
- assessing the knowledge acquired and the skills developed throughout one’s educational, professional, and personal development pathway;
- recognising one’s professional motivation in terms of values and aspirations;
- identifying sectors of employment of interest;
- receiving guidance in drafting one’s curriculum vitae, learning active job search techniques, and understanding how to manage a job interview.
Output
The pathway culminates in the drafting of a Curriculum Vitae and the initiation of activities aimed at matching labour demand and supply or internship opportunities.
Career guidance interviews are intended for graduating students and recent graduates of the University of Insubria.
Guidance and Careers Service, Varese and Como campuses.
The office receives users by appointment via the dedicated “appointment calendar” function of the InfoStudenti service, by selecting the Guidance and Careers Service desk.

APPOINTMENT MODALITIES
- Remote: an invitation to a virtual appointment will be sent to the institutional email address (for students) or to the personal email address (for external users). The appointment will take place via the Microsoft Teams platform. By connecting on the booked date and time, users will receive assistance from a member of the office staff.
- In person: at the user’s request and/or in cases of actual need, an appointment may be arranged at the office during the available time slots.
