Alfredo Ambrosetti (born in 1931) is a world famous Italian economic consultant. In 1965 he founded the Studio Ambrosetti, a professional consulting group, which has grown over the years becoming The European House-Ambrosetti.

Together with his House, he is the creator and promoter of numerous original professional approaches in the strategic management field, from comprehensive continuous innovation for businesses to cultural re-orientation and professionalization of relationships in family-run businesses.

He is the recipient of many professional and personal awards and is well-known in the world because of the forum on economy that The European House-Ambrosetti organizes each year at Villa d'Este in Cernobbio (Como).

In the occasion of Insubria H.C. Degree, Dr. Ambrosetti has delivered the following Lectio Magistralis address: “Competitività territoriale e ruolo della formazione”.
