The School of Law develops a close connection between teaching and research through an excellent ratio of staff and students. This allows the department to reach a high level of cultural training while promoting constant and even personalized relationships between professors and students.
The teaching program incorporates the broader location and socioeconomic context in which the University is situated, thereby enriching the theoretical preparation with historical, international, European comparative law and economics.
The school has a privileged link with its corresponding school at the University of Milan, from which it originated some years ago. The two schools have cooperated to organize the School of Specialization for the Legal Professions, situated in Milan and open to all those who have obtained a second-level degree at the University of Como.
The school has an authoritative and internationally recognized research emphasis, as demonstrated in the last six years by the publication of a series of twenty-five books.
