Vascular Surgery

The Residency Program  in Vascular Surgery provides an extensive education in the clinical and research speciality of Vascular Surgery. The 5 year program is designed to develop highly skilled clinical and research professionals.

The residents will work within the following subspecialities:

• Propaedeutics
• Clinical Semiology and Radiology
• Relative Surgical specialties (General Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Transplantation)
• Vascular Surgery
• Endovascular Surgery
• Angiology   
• Anaesthesia and Critical Care

Requirements for completion of the program:

• Diagnostic procedures in vascular disease:
                    *non-invasive: 400 cases (50% as assistant)
                    *invasive: 100 cases (as assistant)
• Surgical intervention
• Open and endovascular procedures:250 cases (15% as assistant)
• Phlebology surgery: 250 cases (15% as assistant)
• Relative Surgical specialties: 100 cases (10% as assistant)
• Clinic Research
• Collaboration in 3 experimental studies
