The purpose of the Residency Program inSport Medicine (four-year program) is to provide the resident an opportunity to develop advanced competencies in sports sciences through mentored clinical practice, didactic classroom experiences and active participation in research projects. Fields of interests include sports traumatology, biomechanics, athletic training, sports physiology. Much time is dedicated to interactions with other health professionals involved in Sport Medicine, mainly orthopaedic surgeons, and to develop skills to prevent, recognize, evaluate, and treat acute sports injuries.
