The aim of the three year Ph.D. course is to provide a post-graduate training to scholars and researchers of social science philosophy, with particular emphasis on symbolic aspects (myths, legends, the world of media etc.).
The Ph.D. course is developed along two curricula. The first (social-philosophical) provides the theoretical and analytical notions for a functional and modern approach to the communicative and mass society while the second focuses on the function of the symbolic as an associated and constitutive principle, capable of deciphering, understanding and anticipating the formation of symbolic structures with the capacity of strongly influencing – as such happens – individual and public opinions.
