The Residency Program in Orthopedics and Traumatology was established at the University of Insubria in 1993. The program provides a well-rounded education and surgical training in the fundamentals of orthopaedic and trauma surgery.
During a five-year period, the residents will explore the subspecialties of Orthopaedics (joint replacement, arthroscopy and sports traumatology, hand, shoulder and elbow, spine, foot and ankle, pediatrics, trauma) through a system of categorical rotations. Research, both clinical and laboratory, is expected and encouraged.
