The Residency Program in Child Neuropsychiatry is designed as a specialization for graduates and is structured in a “progressive” learning fashion focused on practical clinical applications.
This course provides the fundamental basis of anatomy, neurophysiology and neuropsychopatology for the study and management of child and adolescent neuropsychiatric disorders. Clinical and instrumental semiology are studied in depth, with an emphasis on the new neuropsychodiagnostic techniques in collaboration with the study of the stages of border pathologies in the Neurologic and Pediatric Departments. The resident will learn the fundamentals of neurological and psychiatric treatment, focusing on psychiatric, neurological and neuropsychological pathology. In addition, the resident will also study the basic techniques of psychotherapy and rehabilitation for the treatment of mental pathologies.
